Frontline was the first once-a-month topical flea
& tick product on the market. It is still one
of the best available today. Applied to the skin
in one spot, it works itself over the entire body
within 24 hours. It is completely waterproof after
24 hours. It has nearly 100% efficacy with flea
control, killing the flea before it bites, thereby
being the best product for flea allergic pets. It
works very well against ticks, however ticks can
still attach. Ticks are very difficult to kill,
but will die shortly after feeding or before.

Preventic
Collar for Dogs
$24.99 1 collar- lasts 3 months
The Preventic tick collar is, without a doubt, currently
the best product for tick control. The active ingredient,
Amitraz, has been shown to be the most effective
ingredient against the creepy crawlers. When the
collar is applied snugly, it will kill ticks and
prevent them from attaching. Though the collar has
some water resistant properties, it is recommended
that you take it off when your dog swims or is bathed.
Preventic can be used in conjunction with Frontline.
CAUTION: Cannot be used on cats. It is also not
recommended for households where the cat sleeps
with or grooms the dog. Children should not pet
dog in collar area.

ProMeris
for Dogs
$44.59 Canine Up to 11 lb 3-pack
Other sizes to follow
ProMeris is new on the market as of 2007. Another
once-a-month topical, it runs about $4 cheaper
per 3-pack than Frontline and is promising to
be as effective against fleas and better against
ticks. The reason? One of the ingredients in ProMeris
is Amitraz. There is a ProMeris for cats, but
is not effective against ticks because it lacks
the Amitraz which is not safe for cats. We may
carry the cat ProMeris if there is a call for
it.

Siphotrol
Plus II Premise Spray
$26.99 16 oz Treats 2000 sf.
Siphotrol Plus is the best product to treat a flea
infestation in the house. It is more effective than
a bomb/fogger because you can apply it where you
want it- a fogger is released into the air and does
not get underneath anything. You do not need to
leave the house during application, but should remain
off the carpets/furniture until it dries. Once the
product dries, you should vacuum to pick up the
dead fleas. Repeat application in 2 weeks to kill
hatched eggs.
