In 1976, Dr. Douglas Griffin purchased a piece of property left vacant after the “Top of the Hill” restaurant burned down. He built a small building, hired one technician (our very own office manager, Jean Wilson), and opened his veterinary practice.

After his practice was established and growing, Dr. Barry Porter invested an equal share into the practice, creating a partnership in 1982. In 1994, a hospital addition was completed, adding extra room to expand even further. A third veterinarian came on board and our clients were pleased with the results. In 2004, a fourth veterinarian was hired and our client base grew to over 7000.

Some of our services include preventive medicine, acupuncture, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, endoscopy, some ultrasonography and radiology. The patients we care for include cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents, reptiles and other exotics.
