| Leah’s passion for animals began at a young age growing up on a small farm and being involved in 4H. She was then accepted to a Vocational Agricultural High School in Massachusetts. From there she obtained her Bachelors in Animal Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1999. After graduating from college, she moved to New Hampshire with her fiance, Paul, in order for him to obtain his degree in Meteorology. There she worked at a small animal practice and most recently a mixed animal practice. In 2006 they moved to Maine and Leah began her employment here at LRAH. In the spring of 2008, they purchased a home in Casco; a “fixer-upper” to consume their spare time. An extra special surprise came with their purchase: a baby kitten whom they named “Casco!” Leah’s home is active with the new arrival and their 5-year-old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon named “Frags.” |
