Andrine Belliveau DVM

Owner, veterinarian

Dr. Andrine Belliveau grew up in Bolton, Massachusetts. She fostered her interest for animals early on in life, raising goats and sheep through 4-H as a child. She attended Cornell University and received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, and then went on to obtain her DVM from Tufts University in 2011. She has worked in both general practice and emergency medicine. She has special interests in pain management, emergency surgery, and dentistry.  Dr Belliveau built a small home in Naples, Maine in 2012 and moved to South Windham in 2022.  She has worked at Lake Region Animal Hospital since 2012, mostly as a part-time veterinarian while working full-time in emergency care. In 2019 she purchased Lake Region Animal Hospital from Dr Griffin and now works full-time at LRAH.
In her spare time, Dr. Belliveau enjoys hiking with her dog, watching Boston sports, and reading.  If she can manage a full week off from work, you can usually find her on a plane as she loves to travel. One of her favorite places to visit is the Highlands of Scotland. She is happily owned by two English Shepherds named Bennett and Cassian, and 3 cats – Bergie (go Bruins!), Dalwhinnie and Astrid.

Growing up I was so blessed to have a mom who nurtured my love of animals by allowing me to have many different pets. I graduated from University of Maine Augusta with a degree in Animal Medical Technology in 2000.  I love my job as a veterinary technician and I can’t imagine doing anything else. Currently, my household consists of my son and 2 cats. My motto is that there is always room for one more! Jennifer has been a veterinary technician with Lake Region Animal Hospital since 2010.

Nick B.

Veterinary Assistant

Nick is a Veterinary Assistant that joined our staff in July 2021. Growing up he was the first to volunteer to help take care of a neighbor’s animals, from cats and dogs to sheep and lizards he loves them all! That love for animals eventually transitioned into the professional world as a kennel assistant and manager at local boarding facilities, finally finding a new love in veterinary care. If he isn't spending time caring for animals you will find him out on the water fishing, at home watching sports, or relaxing with some video games. Currently Nick has three dogs at home, but there is always room for more! Just don’t tell his wife.
